On March 31, millions of Christians around the world celebrated Easter Sunday. For Christians, Easter is the holiest of holidays; a cherished time where we celebrate Christ’s resurrection and remember that God’s only son died on the cross so that our sins would be forgiven. Instead of affording Christians the dignity of their sacred holiday, the Biden administration decided to issue an official White House proclamation declaring Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility. It’s just the latest example of the Left’s never-ending culture war in their effort to force their values and beliefs on everyone in America.
It's unacceptable that the Left views important religious holidays like Easter and Christmas as just another front to wage their culture war. Last year, the White House decided it was appropriate to put out a “Christmas video” that featured a dancing group that promotes far-Left ideologies, like getting rid of prisons and defunding the police. Black Lives Matter celebrated the group’s “creative genius” of using art “as a form of protest.”
Chick-fil-A is another frequent target of the Left’s culture war. Last year, a member of the New York General Assembly introduced a bill that would force the company to stay open on Sundays. But Chick-fil-A has always kept its locations closed on Sundays because of its founder’s deeply held religious beliefs. Supporters of the bill claim that Chick-fil-A being closed on Sundays is a disservice to customers. That’s right – the Left believes someone’s craving for fried chicken should always trump sincerely-held religious beliefs.
The Left is also waging their culture war in the classroom. We’ve seen a concerning rise in Liberal teachers and school boards using the education system to force their woke agenda on children. Teachers and students who don’t use the “correct pronouns” get punished and ostracized. They believe it’s appropriate for schools to host drag shows and carry pornographic books that are incredibly inappropriate for children. It’s all part of the Left’s efforts to normalize their radical beliefs, brainwashing children from the moment they start kindergarten to the day they graduate high school.
Whether they’re trying to take religion out of the most important Christian holidays, using the education system to brainwash children, or vilifying individuals and private companies that don’t share their radical beliefs, the Left will stop at nothing to force their extreme views and agenda on rural America.
